Alfred.

Woodbridge, VA
Even with their unshaken resolve and dedicated work ethic, it's sometimes a... challenge for Alfred. to feel like they are doing enough. Between other people’s expectations of them and the lofty goals they set for themself, sometimes the pressure can be almost too much to bear. Unfortunately, these circumstances can sometimes manifest into a consuming bitterness — an anger with the world at large and a disappointment for perhaps irrationally conceived personal shortcomings. Despite this, Alfred. has simultaneously always maintained a genuine curiosity regarding other people. They cannot help but desire interaction and genuine connection with others. This contrast, between a disappointment in the state of the world and an undying belief in the humanity of all people serves as a central theme for LIKE YOU!! and can be heard throughout the project’s greatly contrasting sonic moods, textures, and styles. Right now, Alfred. is optimistic. Things are changing for them, whether by choice or circumstance. Despite experiencing new challenges and routines that sometimes come with a steep learning curve, they are excited to face everything coming towards them. Read More

Caiine

Manchester, UK-ENGLAND
Caiine is a Cheshire-based artist, who began working with her current writin...g partner and producer in 2017. Their work can be characterized as mellow, synth-filled, alternative R&B,drawing influences from the roots of soul music and contemporary R&B. Since her early childhood in South East London, music and performance have been Caiine’s safe haven-her sanctuary when things fall apart. She also writes poetry as a form of escapism. Many of her poems have formed the basis of her lyrics. Caiine is instinctively curious: whether it’s the history of a word, the symbolism associated with a tree, or the reaction that happens inside a smoke bomb, Caiine is fascinated by the complex‘inner workings’ that come with being human. A number other tracks have gained exposure by BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music and other UK outlets. Read More

Harry Edohoukwa

Dallas, TX
Dallas native, Harry Edohoukwa is rooted in melody and committed to innovat...ion. Raised on Jamaican smooth stylist Beres Hammond and Afro-reggae messenger Lucky Dube, Harry follows his mentors by using tuneful, personal deliveries to convey his purge of emotion and insight, whether it be hyped or brooding energy. His lyrics paint a vivid canvas of his life’s journey through triumph, agony, and personal lessons. Family and immersion in the present moment with others are focal points for Harry’s daily life. His parents emigrated from Nigeria many years ago in pursuit of creating a different landscape for their children than what they were presented with. A very tough move for them to make and adopt to a completely different lifestyle, language and general societal expectations. Even though he was born and raised in Dallas, Harry holds true to his roots and family values. Harry headlined the 2019 SXSW Hotel Vegas stage with Jackie Venson and White Denim, as well as headlining KUTX’s Love Lockdown and in 2020, he opened up for Grammy nominated band, The Black Pumas at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX.
